Culture Club
Culture Club - 30 hour course
Target Group - 16 - 19 NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training)
Aims
- To look at jobs within the creative sector
- Confidence building, personal development
- To improve individuals' communication skills and to look at team working and what it means
- Assess personal skills and ability
- Looking towards the future - What next?
The aim of Culture Club is to encourage young people back into learning or work by looking at the different types of venues and jobs within the Creative Sector and the skills needed to work within this area.
The course ran successfully last year in the Cromer area with support from local businesses. The Little Theatre, North Norfolk Railway, Mr Man, Splash Leisure Centre and the Cromer Museum were used for the delivery of the course. Participants achieved an OCN qualification in Personal Development.
