NLP
The Norfolk Learning Partnership (NLP) is an impartial organisation which aims to join up and drive forward the learning agenda at both strategic and operational levels across Norfolk. We work to identify gaps in activity and work with our extensive number of partners to fill those gaps. One of the strengths of the partnership is our ability to provide an impartial forum, which can encourage partners to work together to develop coherence and collaboration and provide both an informed and representative county voice. Although the Board disbanded in March 2009 the NLP continues to deliver and develop it programme of activites across the County
On this web site you will find a wide range of information, resources and documents. We want our web site to be a valuable resource - if you cannot find what you want please let us know.
On March 30th 2009 the NLP board disbanded leaving a small core of staff to manage the projects and phased transition away from its strategic role. They issued the following statement:
After 10 years of ploughing the partnership furrow, the Norfolk Learning Partnership has seen the learning landscape transformed with the launch of the 14-19 Strategic Partnership under the auspices of the Children and Young People’s Partnership Trust and more recently the Skills Roadmap initiative developed by the LSC. Given the significant progress made around partnership working, it feels that the time is right for the Norfolk Learning Partnership to bow out at the height of its success confident that the partnership links hard fought for are now well established. The significant shift in the partnership approach would not have occurred without the efforts of those individual organisations that make up the Norfolk Learning Partnership pushing and facilitating partnership working. Although the Norfolk Learning Partnership in its current form will cease on 31/3/09, a small core team will remain until 31/3/10 to ensure a seamless transition of current project activity to a new host organisation. A phased withdrawal of the management and support for the wide range of networks will take place during the transition period and it is hoped that new network leads will be identified. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners for your involvement and support over the last 10 years.
The website however remains current and is updated to regularly ensuring that the work of the NLP and information for providers is maintained.
